It’s the same in the field of metal plate laser cutting area, too. It’s more and more popular of achieving automation of laser cutting directly from coils, payoff and feed by coil feeding line then cut to laser machine automatically, don’t need to cut strip to blank from coils firstly then put sheets to laser cutting machine by man power or manipulator. 
Attached is a ful automatic coil feeding laser cutting line, It was comprised of 15T heavy decoiler with coil car, four high precision coil leveling machine and laser cutting machine.

1. 15T heavy decoiler with coil car
Function: It was used to loading coil and payoff strips automatically.

  • Structure: Welded by steel, equipped with press arm and hydraulic expansion device etc.
  • Capable of 1600mm width and 0.5-2.0mm thickness metal coils.
  • Loading capacity: 15T (Can be customized).
  • Press arm to hold the surface of the coil, preventing coil too loose. At one end of the press arm installed a PU wheel to press the strips, don’t hurt the coil. 
  • Mechanical gantry tailstock arm device. It holds one end of the mandrel enhancing the mandrel has enough loading capacity and ensure safety and durable.
  • Hydraulic station, providing power source to drive the press arm, mandrel, support arm device, coil car etc.
  • Slide block model hydraulic expansion device. It can add machine’s expansion capacity and machine’s reliability, use life time etc. Max. loading capacity is above 15T. 
  • Decoiler’s mandrel expansion range: Ф550—Ф630mm.
  • Max. Coil O.D.Ф1500mm (Or as requirement).
  • Pay off strip with 11KW speed variable motor, payoff speed: 1-15m/min.
  • 15T Coil car.
Function: It was used to load coils and automatically lift the coil to the mandrel of the unciler machine. And then the mandrel can expand and clamp the coil.

2 SHL-1600A model Straightener (can be replaced by JZ40-1600Z leveler)
2.1 Machine image (just for reference)

Picture 1 is SHL-1600A model straightener, picture 2 is JZ40-1600Z model 4-high precision leveling machine. It can be replaced by the JZ40-1600Z model coil leveling machine.

2.2 Machine main feature
  • Suitable for material width of Max. 1600mm, thickness capacity of 0.4-2.5mm.
  • It equips with 15pcs straightening rollers (UPPER 7pcs/LOWER 8pcs), roller material is 40Cr, All straightening rollers finished tempering and quenching, hard chrome plated and grind etc., Surface hardness comes HRC58-62°
  • Backup roller device. Upper and lower the straightening roller sets, there are a few assistant rollers set to support the straightening rollers, enhancing the rollers long life time (Please refer to the following image).
  • It equips with 2pcs feeding rollers, driven by a 15kw servo motor+ speed reducer. The power was transmitted via chains and gears.

  • Electric adjust straightening roller gap. Just need to set data in HMI’s touch screen (refer to the following image). Moreover, it has the function of memory and call it back of the producing data: such as different products different part code, straightener gap set data. (Refer to following image)
